Readers Chart

This year our reading chart will focus on Space Exploration. We will be getting supplies and fuel for the rockets before take off and then travelling through the galaxy visiting different planets and moons.

Team Flag Results

There were lots of entries from each team with various different designs and ideas. In the end we chose a simple design using the teams initial for the flag design. As the flags still looked a bit plain we searched for symbols to represent the key words and values for each team.

Esther       – Enjoy and Liberty

Laurence  – Listen and Democracy

Lavinia      – Learn and Equality

Theodore  – Think and Rule of Law

Me and Spot are the same age so we have grown up together. I have all of the ‘Spot’ books and even all of the DVDs.

I was very lucky to go to Spot’s 10th birthday party in London and was proud to take my own son to Spot’s 30th birthday party.

Where’s Spot? by Eric Hill

Spot is the most loveable book character ever!

My favourite book by Mrs Jenkins

I like these books because they are magical and they send you into a world of fantasy and adventure.

I love this story because I like the adventure and the characters the Gingerbread man meets on his travels.

I also like to eat gingerbread (who doesn’t?)

My favourite book by Ms Kelsey

My favourite book of all time, ever, is

We’re Going on a Bear Hunt’ by Michael Rosen

bear-hunt

I love this book because I always used to read it to my children as their bedtime story. It kept them engaged and because it rhymes, they knew every word.

I hope you enjoy it too.

I like this book because it has a bear in it and I like bears.

My favourite book by Mrs Lofting

My favourite book of all time, ever, is

Little Rabbit Foo Foo by Michael Rosen

little-rabbit-foo-foo

And I know it off by heart!

I love this book because it is funny and a bit crazy and over the years I have made up some fantastic actions to go with it.

I also like the fact that Little Rabbit Foo Foo is so naughty and I always wonder what a Goonie is!

Make sure you read it and let me know what you think!!!

Also chosen by Mrs Kirk

My grandsons love joining in with this story and love to do the ‘bonking on the head’ actions.

Parents Choice

Our Favourite books by Karen, Dan and Connie Layton (Mum, Dad and Daughter)

My Favourite book by Mrs Bone (Sophie and Jenson’s mummy)

I love this book and have read it at least a million times. I worked in a nursery and have enjoyed sharing this story to hundreds of children. I then became a parent and read this story over and over. It’s not just a book to me, it’s a way of life. We have continued our bear hunt into the forest and with any outdoor adventure/

We’re Going on a Bear Hunt

We would love you to come and share your favourite book with us. If you have time, pop along and see Mrs Benford in the library and she will help you out.

Thank you

We had some great drawings entered so well done to everyone who took part.

In the library we talked about the Summer Holidays. The children shared some of their stories. Here are some examples.
