We always value our partnership with parents and hope that you will be able to support us by making sure that the children are punctual at the start of the school day and attend wearing school uniform.
Autumn Term routines
Breakfast club will begin at 8am for children who would like to attend. The entry routine will remain the same, a member of staff will come to the main gate at 8am and let children in, parents will also be able to go into the school office if they need to.
Children can arrive for breakfast club up until 8.25am.
In order to ensure appropriate safeguarding and supervision for the children attending breakfast club, after 8.25am children not attending breakfast club will need to wait with parents and only come onto the school site at 8.45am.
The start time for all children will be 8.55am except for Reception children who start at 8.50am. Parents and children will be able to come through any of the school gates once they have been opened by a member of staff at 8.45am. As the playground will not be supervised before this time, only breakfast club children will be on the playground before 8.45am.
We will continue to ask children to come into school in their PE kit on PE and Games days. Please ensure that they wear their school sweatshirt on top and that PE kit is in school colours.
We will still ask that children bring in a water bottle from home each day.
At the end of the day the school gates will be opened at 3.05pm for you to collect your children from their classrooms at 3.15pm. Reception pick up will be at 3.10pm giving time to walk to pick up siblings.
While you are welcome to come into the school office, we are also happy for you to continue to telephone or email with any request or query. Year groups will continue to use their year team email addresses for the autumn term and these will be checked once a day during school opening hours. If you have an urgent communication please do telephone or email the school office as they will be able to respond far more quickly than staff who will be teaching during the school day.
Getting to school
To get to and from school, walking is definitely the best option! There are lots of benefits: it’s healthier than travelling by car, it improves the safety of pedestrians and road-users, and it respects nearby residents and parking regulations. Alternatively, we have bike-racks. If you do need to travel by car, please park wisely.
Assemblies are held regularly in the school hall, a year group at a time.
Breakfast club will open at 8am and children will be seated in their year groups in the hall and then be sent to their classrooms for the beginning of the day.
We are very fortunate to be sponsored by Greggs so that we can offer this service free of charge.
Pupils can choose from our large range of cereals – Alpen, Weetabix, Bran Flakes, Rice Krispies, Shreddies or Corn Flakes, white or brown toast with jam, marmalade, marmite, honey or lemon curd and fruit juice or water.
After School Club/Kids Club
Kids Club will be able to resume with the usual 40 place provision. As we have not increased the charge for some time, a session (3.15 – 6pm) will cost £9.00 which remains significantly below other local providers.
We start at 3.10pm to 6pm. We provide a safe environment for your child to come and play. We are very lucky to be able to have the school grounds to play and explore in. We charge £9.00 a day per child. Your child will have a healthy snack and unlimited juice and water.
Spaces will be confirmed via email by the Kids Club Leader Tracy Chapman. Payment for the after school care must be paid for beforehand. Children will not be accepted if payment has not been received.
