Social, Emotional and Mental Health Learning Support Assistant

Hours of Work: 30 hours a week, term time only

Job/Person Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and passionate person to join our amazing SEND team from September to support our most vulnerable children, particularly as we welcome them back to school after the last few months.

The successful candidate will work as part of the SEND team to plan and deliver specialist programmes to develop emotional literacy for small groups or individual children. This will be a varied and exciting role, requiring flexibility, commitment and a desire to make a difference for our children.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is committed to an inclusive environment whilst understanding that children have differing needs.
  • Has experience of supporting children to develop their emotional literacy
  • Understands and is committed to supporting children with challenging behaviour
  • Is well organised and able to plan, prepare, develop programs and feedback as part of the team
  • Has a calm, positive and kind approach and is able to work independently and with initiative
  • Is organised, flexible, resourceful and a good communicator
  • Is committed to continuous professional development.

Job/Person Summary

We are looking for enthusiastic, energetic and caring LSAs to join our amazing team from September to support children with cognitive, social, emotional and behavioural needs. This will be a varied role, working as part of a team to support our wonderful children in small groups and 1:1, and we are looking for candidates with flexibility and commitment who would love to be part of our Warren Park family.

The successful candidate will work alongside teachers, LSAs, the SEND team and outside agencies to develop and deliver personalised learning, supporting daily routines and transitions.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has previous experience of working with children in a school setting
  • Cares about children and wants them to do their best
  • Is committed to an inclusive environment whilst understanding that children have differing needs
