Listen, Think, Learn & Enjoy . . .

Autumn is a season of change and beauty. The children were asked to come up with a scientific question to investigate, relating to the Autumn season. Using our previous knowledge from our class teaching we discussed, as a whole class the facts we knew already about the seasons. The children then needed to think of their own question or statement. After some questioning from an adult and deeper thinking from themselves they thought up a scientific question to investigate. Some made a statement which they could investigate. They then had the opportunity to apply this practically in our environment. They had to find evidence to prove or disprove their statement or come to a conclusion about their question.

An example of this could b: There are more robins in Autumn than Spring?

What was your investigation about?

Did you find any evidence?

Give the scientific word for a statement?
