Warren Park Primary School

Severe Weather Statement

As we enter the winter period when difficult travel conditions can apply, I would like to remind you of our arrangements should we suffer disruption from extremes of weather.

Early Morning

If the school is to be closed on any school day because of adverse weather conditions or a problem on the school site, we will update the school website with the relevant information and contact local radio stations (Heart and BBC South), who make regular announcements. We will also endeavour to text information. Schools closures can also be found on

During the Day

If the weather conditions deteriorate during a school day to the point where making the journey home could be dangerous, we will make arrangements to release the students early. All parents and careers will be notified if we require to close the school early. No child will be sent home if we have not been able to notify parent or careers. It is important that the school has your most current contact details.

If you have any individual concerns about these severe weather arrangements, please do not hesitate to contact the school.

From Tuesday 5th January we will only be open for the children of critical workers and those meeting the vulnerable criteria. For all other children, learning will be online.

elizabethA very warm welcome to Warren Park Primary School. Warren Park is a warm and caring school community where every child is valued as an individual. The talented staff team work together to make learning enjoyable and purposeful which enables our children to become confident, successful and responsible young people. This has been recognised by Ofsted in the last two inspections where the school has been graded outstanding and this reflects the quality of education that every child experiences.

The strength of partnership with parents and the community means that the children have a strong sense of belonging and pride in their school. Maintaining high staffing levels is really important to us and ensures that we can meet the academic, social and emotional needs of every child. Warren Park is incredibly well resourced and sits on a beautiful site on the northern edge of Leigh Park, Havant, Hampshire. It is a two form entry primary school with 420 children in total, aged between 4 and 11 years old.

Warren Park is a very special place where children are encouraged to take part in a wide variety of enriching opportunities including sports clubs, trips and performance. I hope that you enjoy exploring our website and that you are able to gain an insight into our school, values and ethos.

Yours Sincerely
