Warren Park Primary School

School Re-opening

Dear Parents and Carers

We do hope that you have all enjoyed the sunshine this summer and have been able to spend time with your friends and family even if it has been very different to previous years. We are all very excited about welcoming the children back to school on Thursday 3rd September. We do appreciate that you may feel some anxiety about schools returning but everyone at Warren Park has been working incredibly hard to ensure that school will be as safe as we can make it and that we are ready to support your children in whichever way they may need. We are so lucky to have the large, experienced and skilful team of staff that we have and they are dedicated to making sure that this new academic year starts as positively and successfully as possible for you and your children.

We are welcoming a number of new staff members to the Warren Park team: Miss Board and Mrs Sutton to year R; Miss Bentley and Mrs Ablett to Year 1; Mrs Gough to Year 2; Miss Ellis to Year 3 and Miss Kettle to Year 4. Our new teaching and learning support staff have all been getting to know the school over the last few weeks and preparing for the way that we will need to work during the coming months. During the summer holiday we were delighted to hear that Miss Clunie has given birth to a beautiful baby boy, Teddy Alexander Stephen Craig. I am sure that you will join me in sending our best wishes to Miss Clunie and her family. The Warren Park family is set to continue to grow as both Miss Cornish and Mrs Jennings will begin their maternity leave during September and we look forward to hearing their news later this term.

On the school website we have created a new section for Covid Updates where you will find information about our plans for this term as well as copies of the letters sent out at the end of term detailing the arrangements for the beginning of the school year.

As you will be aware, information is continually updated by the government and we will do our very best to keep you informed of any changes. Although it is sad that we cannot meet you on the playground or in school to chat and catch up as we usually love to do, please be assured that we are still very contactable and if you have any concerns we would urge you to phone the school so that we can help you to speak to the right member of staff. Even though we are having to use alternative means of communication we truly value working in partnership with you to ensure that your children have the happiest and very best primary education possible.

We look forward to seeing you all on Thursday!

With best wishes

Elizabeth Cooper
