New Classes for the Academic Year 2025 – 26 and Year 3 / 4 Sports Day

Dear Parents and Carers,

New Classes for the Academic Year 2025 – 26

This year we have a few changes to our class names and staff placements for the upcoming academic year. These updates are outlined in the table below.

Children will find out which class they will be in on Wednesday, 2nd July, and will have the opportunity to meet their new teachers on Thursday, 3rd July.

Please remember that at Warren Park, class groups are used for only part of the learning timetable. We often mix children across the year group for different subjects to best support their learning and development.

Year 3 / 4 Sports Day

The weather forecast for Friday looks sunny and hot. We will go ahead with Sports Day, as we are able to ensure that the children remain in the shade, except when they are racing.

The gates for the picnic will open at 12:30pm. Please do not arrive earlier than this, to avoid waiting in the sun.

There will be shade on the far side of the field, as well as around the edge of the lower playground, which we recommend for your picnics.

During the races, we will place some chairs in the shade at the end of the track, as well as some alongside the track. This will allow parents to watch their child’s race from the trackside and wait in the shade between races if they wish.

We will provide a water station for spectators.

If the weather is as hot as predicted, we may reduce the number of races while still ensuring that all children have the opportunity to take part.

We look forward to seeing you on Friday afternoon!

With best wishes,

Elizabeth Cooper
