Autumn Newsletter
Welcome to Our Autumn Newsletter
We’re excited to share the latest updates from our EARA (Equality and Rights Ambassadors) group as we begin a new school year full of purpose and working together.
Let us introduce our leadership team:
- Bertha is our Chair for this year,
- Matilda is our Vice Chair,
- Reggie is our Recruitment Officer.
Their first task was to welcome three new Year 5 members to the team. We’re proud to announce that Penny, Ruben, and Lois have joined the EARA group, and we’re looking forward to introducing them to our wider network of schools in the local area.
In our first meeting this term, we worked with Minnie to explore how we evaluate equality and diversity across our school. We discussed how every child can feel seen and represented in all aspects of school life. This year, we’ll be developing new ways to review and reflect on equality and diversity in classrooms and across the curriculum, working closely with teachers and subject leaders.
We also began a powerful conversation about belonging—what it means to us and how we can nurture it within our school. This will be a key focus over the coming weeks.
Please take a moment to explore our EARA board, which is regularly updated with news from our local area, national developments, and global events. It’s also a great place to revisit our Rights of the Child poster and reflect on how these rights are represented in our school and community.
Looking ahead, we’ll be exploring how rights are understood and lived out in our school—and what they mean to you.
